    for fixed assets; change in inventories is included in government consumption expenditures.
    Note. Chain-type quantity indexes for net investment are computed from chained (2000) dollar
    estimates of net investment by scaling the chained-dollar estimates to 100 in the reference year
    (2000). Chained (2000) dollar estimates of net investment beginning with 1967 appear in table 5.2.6.
